Digital File & Color Requirements

We keep our color system accurately calibrated and profiled and have very few color or print quality issues.
We get praised for our color & print quality often, but in order to offer you the best color match we do have a few guidelines.

File Types:
Your digital file MUST be either
PSD(Photoshop) or .TIFF or .JPEG. These are the most common files types.  We can use other types, but they may delay your order.

File Size:
200 - 300 DPI is best with a image size close to the print size you are ordering.  If you have a large image size, a small DPI is fine. If you have a high DPI, then a smaller image size is fine. If both are too small for the size print you order, your print may be pixilated and grainy. Look at your file at 100% of the print size you are ordering. The print we send you is only as good as the file you send us!  If we see that your file is too small, we'll let you know, but we cannot always tell before printing. Art is subjective, so we cannot be responsible for quality due to customer image or file choice, such as poor resolution or low dpi. Always send the best file you have!

Color:
Your files MUST be RGB Color Mode
for the best color match. RGB is the standard for most digital files and digital files are normally RGB unless someone has changed them on purpose. CMYK, Lab Color or other mode files may alter your color. Sometimes drastically!
Remember, your files are printed as is!  You are responsible for all color adjustments & corrections before sending the file.  If your colors are critical, it is recommended that you order only one copy of a print before ordering a large quantity of the same print.
If we see something not right we will contact you, but art is subjective and it is not always easy to tell when something is wrong.

Cropping:
Most files we get require a little bit of cropping. Try to order your prints in the same proportions as your file to limit cropping. If your file requires cropping to fit the size print you order, we will use our best judgment as to what to crop out and are not responsible for overly cropped images.  If cropping is a concern, you should crop your file first yourself or tell us what you do not want cropped out. We will do our best to honor your request.

Borders:
We add borders to all un-stretched canvas prints and paper prints.
DO NOT add the borders to your image unless it is part of your image, or your image area may print smaller then you expect.

Canvas Shrinkage when Ordering Un-Stretched Canvas:
Canvas is a fabric and some shrinkage does happen in the production process. Any shrinkage is usually slight and the canvas can usually be stretched to your intended size, but it is recommended that you not cut or assemble bars or frames until you have that actual print in hand.
We do attempt to compensate for shrinkage, but because shrinkage is natural and uncontrollable we CANNOT guarantee exact sizes in un-stretched canvas.

Note: Un-coated canvas scratches easily!

Production Time
Please remember, our items are custom made after you order, so please allow sufficient time when ordering.
In order to produce the best quality prints, our production time varies but generally runs anywhere from 5 - 10 business days, depending on what you order. Prints will always require an absolute minimum of 3 days simply due to required drying time.

Rush Orders
While we try to accommodate rush orders, we cannot make guarantees. Prints will always require an absolute minimum of 3 drying days simply due to required drying time.

Rush Orders Are Subject To A  30%   Min: $25 Service Charge
Shipping Terms &  Rates
10% to 4% Depending On Total  $12.95 Minimum
Hawaii, Alaska & Canada pay actual cost. We will bill your credit card for the shipping cost when shipped.
If you request UPS Next Day Air, 2 Day Air or 3 Day Air,
we will bill your credit card for the actual cost when shipped.

Damaged or Lost Shipments
All prints are carefully inspected & packed. We very, very rarely have a shipment damaged by UPS.  Any damage would be apparent as soon as you open the package, so if you receive a damaged product or are missing any prints you MUST tell us by email or letter within 2 days of delivery for us to be able to file a loss claim.  You MUST keep all packaging for UPS inspection!

Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Changes
Because our products are a custom product and printed just for you we cannot accept returns or accept order cancellations. We carefully inspect each order & print before shipping. We very rarely make errors on orders, but of course if we do we reserve the right to either correct & re-ship the order or give you an in-house credit. If we do allow a cancellation or change we will charge for all work competed up to that time and if it results in a balance due you, we will not refund the balance but give an in-house credit.
No Refunds - In-House Credit Only

If we feel they are too small we'll contact you and ask for a bigger file or suggest that you print smaller. Determining if a file is big enough is subjective and we use our best judgment, so you are ultimately responsible for the file quality that you send us. Please look at you files at 100%.

PRINTING QUESTIONS

What size digital file is best?
Always, the bigger, the better.  You need either a high dpi or a large image size for the best results. If you have both you will get a better print. DPI should be 100 to 300+ for best results. Lower DPI may work fine if you have a large image size and a small image size may work if you have a high DPI. The larger we are printing the more important file size, DPI and quality is!

If I want a border do I need to add it to my image?

Can I send my original art for you to photograph?
Yes, we can photograph your original art. We do have a size limit of 32 inches x 32 inches.

Will my colors print correctly?
We very rarely have a color matching problem. Generally the color prints exactly as your file is or prints very close with only slight and acceptable differences.
But remember, your  digital file is printed "as is," and all the responsibility for color rests with you. Unless you have calibrated monitors, what you see on your screen may not match what's on ours.. Even with this note of caution, we do this all the time with superb results.
